Aura

DDOTOMAN:Parkway-Aura

Parkway (@ParkwayKei @ericdingus), hailing from Prince William County – Virginia, is on a mission to set himself apart from the pack while cultivating his own sound. With his latest body of work, entitled Aura, its pretty safe to assume he’ll have no problem carving out a lane of his own.

The 12 track debut is strapped with production from OVO affiliate and frequent Drake collaborator Eric Dingus as well as supporting instrumentation from the likes LazyTrap, Mysticphonk, Neww Eraa, and more. HypeTrak‘s David Huynh describes the project as “…an overall dark sound that is further complemented by the kid’s deep and menacing voice…”. Give it a spin listen below and form an opinion of your own!

ALLHIPHOP:Parkway AURA

Aura gives you that down south feel with a lazy flow but Parkway delivers the music in a way that sounds East coast too, meaning that the kid has a style all his own. Keep your ears peeled as the Virginia emcee shows no signs of slowing down as he looks to build off the success of his music with this effort.

CNS: Parkway Aura

To me music is all about being yourself and delivering sounds that other people can connect with. Getting to people to connect with your music is all about being original, no one wants to listen if your music sounds just like Future, if that was the case then I would just listen to Future. Anyway, that brings me to a young artist from Virginia by the name of Parkway. He just dropped his debut mixtape Aura and its 12 tracks of yoga flame. From beginning to end I can listen to every track without skipping, it has something for any occasion or moment in your life. Parkway put together a very solid project for his first go around. Check it out below.

Jack Thriller: Parkway AURA

The talent that is hiding in Virginia is crazy, up-start Parkway further proves my point. The Virginia artist just delivered his new 12 track debut project, Aura. In a day & age when we see a lot of artist recycling the same flows and styles, Parkway manages to bang out 12 tracks that he can call his own. Everything from turn up to real life stories are delivered on this project. Keeping it very original Parkway might not know it yet but he has paved his own lane with his debut project, I expect him to only get better as we move forward.

Boi-1da: Listen to Parkway’s 12-Track Mixtape ‘Aura’

Virginia native Parkway finds his way onto our pages today by the way of his new 12 track debut mixtape titled Aura. After giving it a few spins I can say that Parkway brings a different vibe to the music scene that is so common in the DMV. Parkway brings a dark gritty approach to his music, his deep voice brings chills to your skin and almost makes you feel as if your in the studio with him recording.

Aura gives you that down south feel but Parkway delivers the music in a way that only he can replicate, meaning that the kid has a style all his own. Parkway brings plenty of different flows onAura and in turn makes the project very easy to listen all the way through. Keep your ears peeled as the Virginia emcee shows no signs of slowing down as he looks to build off the success of his debut mixtape Aura.

ITSBIZKIT: PARKWAY “AURA” + REVIEW

When I first played to Parkways new project I wasn’t sure to expect. In music right now it seems the majority of new artist are stealing their favorite rappers style and flows and throwing it over their cousin’s production. However Parkway is the exact opposite. The first track hits and I’m instantly nodding my head. Very clean production throughout the whole project. The project has a very distinct sound that he could easily call his own. The flows throughout the projects can’t be matched to any other rapper currently out now. “Do It” is a clear standout track in the project that could easily be a single that would be sure to impact radio. It has a good influence that one could say is inspired by the sound in Houston Texas but yet isn’t completely a Texas dedication.

“10 Below” is another track that has this dope “let me ride and dropt he top feel”. The song speaks to a relationship with an ex Ting “Late night missions you’re not as innocent as you used to be”. This track stands out in the very first listen and has become my favorite take away. It’s instantly relatable to anyone who has ever dated in life. Or been in a relationship with someone who changed right before their very eyes. The last track in reference in the review is “Parkway Medly” another chill melodic track, parkway uses his voice to complement the instrumental & support the production in this track and it turns out perfect. The entire project flow, which is something I feel artist have gotten so far way from. Its seriously why so many new artist release projects and they get slept on. This project flows continuously from track to track. Yet it doesn’t sound like one long song. Parkway has his own sound, flow, and image. After a few listens it was clear to me Parkway has a clear song writing skill. With the release of “Aura” I’m sure we will start to see more him on our favorite websites and playlist.
